I, the undersigned Westlake High School 2025 Graduate, voluntarily intend to participate in the optional Project Graduation celebration to be held at Westlake High School beginning immediately after graduation on Thursday, May 22, 2025, and ending at 4:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025. I agree to abide by all the requirements of Project Graduation 2025, and accordingly agree and pledge as follows:
* I understand that if Project Graduation must be canceled or modified due to the requirements of any government entity, any local health department, and/or by Eanes Independent School District due to public health or safety concerns, there are no refunds unless the Project Graduation planning committee voluntarily provides them.
* I understand and agree that (a) I MUST RIDE THE BUS FROM THE WESTLAKE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION TO THE PROJECT GRADUATION CELEBRATION ON THURSDAY, MAY 22, 2025, (b) I WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER PROJECT GRADUATION UNLESS I RIDE THE BUS, AND (c) I WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND IF I AM DENIED ENTRY FOR FAILURE TO RIDE THE BUS.
* I understand that my use or possession of alcohol, drugs, vaping devices, tobacco products, nicotine products, and/or any other illegal, intoxicating or hallucinogenic substances (“Prohibited Substances") before or during Project Graduation is strictly prohibited. I further understand and agree that I will not (a) enter the Project Graduation premises under the influence of any Prohibited Substance or (b) use or possess any Prohibited Substance while on the Project Graduation premises. If I am under the influence of any Prohibited Substance, I will be refused entry to the Project Graduation premises and will not be eligible for a refund. If I possess or use any Prohibited Substance while on the Project Graduation premises, I will be removed from the Project Graduation premises, and will not be eligible for a refund. I agree to leave the Project Graduation premises and not return and Project Graduation will attempt to notify my parent or legal guardian and, when appropriate, law enforcement officials.
*I understand and agree that I have no reasonable expectation of privacy with respect to items I bring with me to Project Graduation or any activities I engage in while attending Project Graduation. Specifically, I understand and agree that any items I bring with me to Project Graduation (duffle bags, backpacks, purses, and the like), including but not limited to any such items dropped off prior to Project Graduation, will be searched by Project Graduation representatives, which may include law enforcement officials and drug dogs. I understand that if any Prohibited Substance is found in my belongings, I will be refused admission to the Project Graduation premises without refund and Project Graduation will attempt to notify my parent or legal guardian and, when appropriate, law enforcement officials. Project Graduation reserves the right to monitor participant behavior as well as conduct searches for the purpose of ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions set forth herein.
* I understand and agree that once I EXIT the Project Graduation premises, I will NOT be allowed to re-enter. I further understand and agree that if I leave the Project Graduation premises before 3:00 a.m. May 23, 2025: a) I will be required to sign an exit form acknowledging the time I leave, to be witnessed by an adult chaperone, b) My parent or legal guardian will be notified, c) I will not receive any refund of payments made to Project Graduation, and d) I forfeit any prizes.
* I agree to follow any and all health and/or safety measures required by Project Graduation, Westlake High School, and Eanes ISD, including, but not limited to, face coverings and social distancing.
* I acknowledge that a professional photographer may be present during Project Graduation. I give permission for the WHS PTO and its contracted photographer to use my photograph on its/their website without further consent or compensation, provided that WHS PTO and its photographer do not include my name or provide other identifying information and provided that such use is only in relation to Project Graduation.
* I AGREE TO WAIVE AND RELEASE EANES INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, WESTLAKE HIGH SCHOOL, WESTLAKE HIGH SCHOOL PTO, PROJECT GRADUATION AND ALL EANES INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES AND PROJECT GRADUATION VOLUNTEERS FROM ANY LIABILITY OR CLAIMS, INCLUDING THOSE OF NEGLIGENCE, RESULTING FROM OR RELATED TO MY ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT. PLEASE NOTE: Contact lens solution, antacid, ibuprofen, and acetaminophen will be available at the nurse's office for anyone who needs it throughout the night. Prescription drugs needed during Project Graduation should be in their original pharmacy container and left at the medical table during bag drop off at Westlake High School from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm on Thursday, May 22rd before the graduation ceremony.
* Parent or legal guardian consent is required to permit First Aid/Help Desk to administer the following non - prescription medications: antacid for upset stomach and/or ibuprofen/acetaminophen for headache or minor aches or pain.
* If I am a minor when Project Graduation occurs, my parent's signature below also constitutes an acceptance of all of the above terms on my behalf.
